What's On in Epsom: 25 October 2026
As autumn settles in, Epsom's got plenty to keep you busy this week — from market days to cosy evenings out.
Good Morning, Epsom
What a week it's been in our little corner of Surrey! Autumn's really got its teeth in now, and there's that particular quality to late October where everything feels a bit more golden and everyone's thinking about cosy nights in. Whether you're after a proper outing or just fancying a quiet mooch around town, we've got you covered.
This Week in Epsom
- Market Days Are Here: Both Wednesday (today!) and Saturday see Epsom's high street buzzing with the weekly market. It's a proper institution, this — everything from fresh veg to plants, clothes to bric-a-brac. Saturday morning's particularly lively if you fancy a bit of social time with your coffee.
- The Downs as Always: Epsom Downs is genuinely lovely right now. The trees are turning, the light's that beautiful autumn gold, and it costs nothing to have a walk around. Take the kids, take the dog, take yourself — it's free and it's exactly what you need on a crisp morning.
- Local Spots Settling Into Autumn Mode: The pubs and restaurants across town are getting into their stride as the evenings draw in. This is when people start seeking out their favourite warm corners for a proper evening out.
- Getting Around: It's half-term next week, so bear that in mind if you're planning to travel locally — the buses and roads get busier, and parking can be trickier near the town centre and schools.
This Weekend
Saturday morning, hit the market if you haven't already — best time to go is around 10am when stallholders are properly set up but it's not rammed. Then maybe walk it off with a proper stomp across Epsom Downs. The air's fresh, visibility's usually good this time of year, and you'll feel like you've actually done something.
If the weather stays dry (fingers crossed), Sunday's the perfect day to explore Ewell or Ashtead — there's something rather nice about poking around the quieter parts of the area when autumn's at its best. Stoneleigh's lovely for a gentle walk too, if you want something close by.
Where to Eat and Drink
If you're after somewhere warm and welcoming this week, Yaadein in Stoneleigh does proper Indian food in a really friendly atmosphere — perfect for Sunday lunch or an evening out when you want something with a bit of flavour and comfort.
For something a bit more low-key, The Jolly Coopers is always reliable if you just want a pint, a proper chat, and decent pub food without any fuss.
Or if you fancy something different, Dastaan on Kingston Road is well worth a visit for Pakistani cuisine done really well — it's got a loyal local crowd for a reason.
Worth Knowing
- Parking tip: If you're heading into town for the market or shopping, the car parks fill up quickly on Saturdays. Try arriving before 10am or after 2pm if you can.
- Evenings are getting dark early now — if you're walking the Downs or exploring local areas, wrap up warm and maybe head out earlier in the day rather than waiting for evening. The clocks go back at the end of the month too, so next week things will feel even darker by dinnertime.
Have a cracking week, and do pop into town if you get a chance. See you around!
