What's On in Epsom: 28 June – 4 July 2026
Summer's in full swing in Epsom — make the most of glorious weather, local wins, and plenty to explore this week.
Good Morning, Epsom
What a week it's been! The sun's properly arrived, and honestly, there's no better time to be out and about in Epsom. We've got some brilliant local news to celebrate, and the kind of weather that makes you want to ditch your plans and just wander the Downs instead.
This Week in Epsom
• Local businesses taking home the gongs — Time Out Beauty Therapy at The Old Coal Yard in Hambledon has been crowned Surrey's best beauty salon at the Muddy Stilettos Awards. If you've been meaning to treat yourself, this is the week to pop in and see what all the fuss is about.
• Schools making us proud — Caterham Prep School has been named Independent Prep School of the Year at the Tes Schools Awards 2026. It's wonderful to see our local education community recognised on such a prestigious stage.
• Perfect weather for free summer walks — June might be wrapping up, but July's looking glorious. Our guides to free walking routes around Epsom are still spot-on: head out to Epsom Downs for views across London, or explore the quieter village green charm of Ewell and Ashtead. Bring a picnic.
• Plenty of green space to enjoy — Whether it's a gentle stroll or an afternoon out with the family, Epsom's parks and open spaces are absolutely lovely right now. No need to travel far.
This Weekend
Saturday's your day for the Epsom farmers market — it's on every Wednesday and Saturday morning, and it's a proper community hub. Stock up on local produce, grab a coffee, and have a chat with the regulars.
If you fancy something more active, the Downs are calling. It's free to walk, and on a day like this, you'll have brilliant views. Pack a blanket, take a book, let the kids run around. Pure summer.
Otherwise, just amble around our local high streets — Kingston Road and the town centre are lovely for a browse. Pop into Time Out Beauty if you fancy a pampering session, or simply enjoy an ice cream and watch the world go by.
Where to Eat and Drink
Yaadein (Stoneleigh) remains a local favourite for proper Indian cuisine — warm, welcoming, and the sort of place where they remember your order. Perfect for a weekend dinner.
The Jolly Coopers is your go-to for a proper pub atmosphere with good food and a real sense of community. Great if you want something unpretentious and genuinely local.
For something a bit lighter, Dastaan on Kingston Road does excellent Pakistani and Indian street food — excellent value and friendly service.
Worth Knowing
Car parking around town — if you're heading to the high street on Saturday, arrive early or use one of the car parks just off the main drag. Summer weekends do get busy.
Opening hours — most of our independent shops and cafes are running summer hours, so if you're planning something specific, it's worth a quick call ahead. Better safe than sorry when the weather's this nice and everyone's out!
Enjoy the sunshine, and do let us know what you get up to this week.
